Born 1996. Lives and works in South London.
Humour is at the heart of Harman’s practice. Unpicking a personal relationship to Britishness, he pokes fun at a chaotic world illustrative of the times we live in today. In a society shaped by nostalgia, media, and spectacle, Harman navigates between critique and celebration. Figures verge on caricature, settings become stages, and familiar scenes are distorted into surreal and sometimes uncomfortable reflections of the everyday. Covering a sociological arc of collisions of class, taste and culture, Harman’s paintings are an observation of the pantomime, grotesque and excess of our collective experience.
